A resurrected “90210” has offered Lowndes her most high profile casting call to date. As Adrianna Tate-Duncan, in this small screen gape into the lifestyles of the bitchy and shameless, she is immersed in excess and gloss. Admittedly hers is a role that has strained to push its young actress into (and out off) themes of drug addiction, pregnancy and homosexuality. But it all loses impact, smothered beneath the vapid sheen that invariably emits from such easily consumed television. Its rough edges and true horrors clipped away in lieu of ratings and immaculately packaged programming...
